5 EASY WAYS TO DETOX AT HOME
Feeling a little puffy after the holidays?
You might feel the need to do a little detox after a period of indulgence - whether that be post-holidays or maybe you are looking to incorporate a few practices to keep you feeling your best. It’s normal for our bodies to need a little help to detox.
Here are the best methods to detox from the comfort of your home:
Castor Oil Packs
Castor oil packs help stimulate lymphatic drainage, support bile flow, increase circulation to our organs and support the liver in detoxing. The fatty acid found in castor oil (ricinoleic acid) can help soften masses, dissolve blockages and increase circulation. Great for sluggish digestion, joint pain and overall cleansing. Dry Brushing
Dry brushing supports lymphatic drainage, blood circulation and detoxifies the skin by unclogging pores in the exfoliation process. By clearing pores, it becomes easier for the body to sweat and eliminate toxins from your system. It is a beauty ritual that has been around for centuries with its origins in Ayurvedic medicine.
Dry brushing should be done on dry skin before hopping in the shower. Start at your ankles and work your way up your body. Brush your skin using long, upward strokes. Use light pressure, especially where your skin is thin. We recommend opening your lymph nodes to start, then follow this flow: ankles to groin, and abdomen, back, and fingertips to armpits. Make sure to moisturize after your shower!
This ritual will give you brighter, smoother skin while supporting your lymphatic system! Complete 1-3x per week to see the results.

Gua Sha Routine
Having a consistent routine - in the morning, evening or both - will provide amazing results! A traditional Eastern Asian ritual, facial Gua Sha improves circulation which supports detoxification. It also increases the production of anti-aging molecules - collagen and elastin, reducing wrinkles and toning your face!
Facial Gua Sha will result in a clearer complexion, more sculpted features, and promote lymphatic drainage.

Tongue Scraping
This is quick, easy and accessible for everyone! Scraping your tongue first thing when you wake up gets rid of any bacteria that has built up on the tongue overnight. As we sleep, our digestive system detoxes and collects on the tongue. Tongue scraping also gets rid of the bacteria that can cause bad breath and gum disease.
Before you brush your teeth, gently glide your tongue scraper from the back of your tongue to the front and spit out. This ritual supports good oral and digestive health. Tongue scraping is a simple and effective way of detoxing everyday.

Body Sculpt Tool
Our Body Sculpt Tool is the easiest way to work on your lymphatic system. It works like a Gua Sha for your entire body to sculpt, detox and debloat at home. It can be done any time by using light pressure and upward strokes to guide excess fluid from the body and towards your lymph nodes for the body to flush out. Use the Body Sculpt Tool to tone the body and reduce fluid retention, improve circulation, reduce swelling and cellulite, smooth scar tissue, improve digestion and reduce bloating.
You’ll notice results after just one session. We even created an online program to show you exactly how to use your Body Sculpt Tool, Gua Sha and Dry Brush too.
Now you are ready to look and feel your best naturally! We recommend combining these at-home methods with our Brazilian Lymphatic Drainage Treatments at the Bombody studio for the ultimate results!
